Caring for your Skin on a Trip
Whether it’s sunny, cold or if you’re up in the clouds, don’t forget to apply sunscreen. The sun’s rays can be particularly strong when the plane is high up, so remember to apply sunscreen generously or bring a hat along – especially if you’re sitting beside the windows! Bring along a facial mist for some hydration in the air as well. (But remember to blot any excess mist droplets so you don’t end up dehydrating your face instead — this is because facial mists usually evaporate if applied without a moisturiser to seal it in)

Keep those AHAs at home and bring along gentler products instead, like the multi-purpose Skin Origin Cleansing Milk for general cleansing and light makeup removal. As our skin tends to be under stress when travelling, bring along a gentle cleanser and toner for easy and efficacious hydration instead. Pack a mask tailored to your needs too – skin tends to be stressed and dehydrated in foreign climates, so a hyaluronic acid mask would work well to replenish moisture.

Check the Water
Not all water is the same. Check out the quality and type of water of the place you’re visiting first. Not all skin care products work the same with different types of water — some products can be formulated for use with hard water and vice versa. A different quality of water from what you are used to can also wreck havoc on your skin. If need be, opt for bottled water to wash your face with instead.
Don’t Forget to Care for your Hair
Do a hair mask the day before and ensure your hair is in good condition before you leave with The Cosmetic Republic’s Scalp Repairing Mask. Pack in some of The Cosmetic Republic’s super-convenient Mist Hair Spray too, to keep your hair soft and nourished and keep away dry or frizzy hair.
